The event is run by Sustainable Newham, part of One Newham Network, and will take place at West Ham Park from 11am to 4pm.
This extraordinary event brings together voluntary organisations, musicians, artists, small traders and local businesses to showcase initiatives, projects, organisations and businesses that help protect and enhance the environment, create a sustainable community and contribute to social, economic and environmental justice locally and globally.
Among the many things that visitor can expect, there will be wellbeing activities, including tai chi, arts and crafts for children, a wide programme of talks and workshops through the day covering sustainability topics, herbal medicine, and a variety of stalls selling home made natural products, tasty vegetarian & vegan food, essential oils, teas, jams & chutneys, and eco-friendly healthy and beauty goodies. Greenpeace and Re Powering London will be among the many organisations joining on the day, as well as representatives from different East London Community Gardens.
The Friends of West Ham Park (an iconic space celebrating 150 years this year) will open the Community Vegetable Garden in the park and will run activities for all the family in what promises to be a great day out for all ages.
