What a wonderful turnout! Nearly 250 of you (some young, and some not so young) attended the Friends’ vegetable garden event on Thursday – decorating a plant pot, and then ‘potting on’. And in a short while hopefully those lovely nasturtiums will have beautiful – and edible – flowers.
It was also a great day to visit the vegetable garden, and see what we’ve been growing. Thank you very much to the most enthusiastic watering can wielders we’ve seen for a long time. We hope you are inspired to do more of your own gardening and nurturing. We’d love to see some photos!
Many of you also took away one of the garden gifts – strawberries, snapdragons, lemon balm, and aloe vera plants – all grown in our garden or by the Friends.
And all together a lovely way to take a little bit of the Park home!
